Full disclosure: with 8 days left, the fundraiser for Xenograph has been a great success. The total cost for publishing the book and creating the box sets is about 50k, and we've raised more than double that through pre-orders. So a sincere thank you to everyone who contributed. Yes, international shipping is a killer, and I feel your pain. I wish the costs were less, but the book is over 5lbs which makes it very expensive to ship directly by air. Therefore, I've made adjustments to my publishing program. Two years ago, a Japanese publisher approached me about publishing my next book to introduce my work to a Japan. This was why I started to put together Xenograph. However, they wanted softcover, and I wanted hardcover. They wanted to publish older work, and I didn't want to repeat anything in Rebus. So we agreed that I could publish Xenograph on my own, and I would continue to create a new book specifically for Japan. During the long, painstaking process of making the book, the publisher underwent a restructuring and the project languished. But now, I'm happy to report that PIE books in Japan has enthusiastically picked it up from the original publisher, and it's in the final stages of completion for release this Fall. We're calling this new book, PAREIDOLIA. Though PAREIDOLIA is meant for a domestic Japanese audience, PIE regularly distributes their books abroad. ⚡️Pareidolia will be softcover, 9 x 12", 298pgs, and feature a huge 22 x 36" poster as the book jacket. Inside, it will contain older works, recent sketchbook drawings, and new pieces that aren't in Xenograph. Basically an overview of 'greatest hits' from past-present and more affordable and readily available worldwide. ⚡️Xenograph will remain a collectible and limited ed. monograph of finished and prelim work from 2010-14 that will be available signed/numbered directly from my warehouse. ⚡️Both books are quite distinct from each other, and now those of you outside of the US will be able get a new book with recent work w/o the high cost of int. shipping. I'm always grateful to have the opportunity to share/consecrate my work in print, and that's only possible with your support. So thank you again. 🙏😌🙏
